This course will show you how to make Web sites using HTML 4.01, XHTML, and CSS. It also gives you hints and guidelines to help you design and create useful Web sites, and organize their content.

Topic 1 Getting Organized

This course teaches the fundamentals of designing and organizing a Web site with particular reference to accessibility requirements.

Topic 2 Basics of HTML and XHTML

A general introductory course of tutorials in HTML 4.01 and XHTML, and how to use them to build basic Web pages.

Topic 3 HTML, XHTML, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

An introductory course of tutorials on the use of HTML 4.01 to format text on Web pages. Seminars cover subjects such as using cascading style sheets, adding images and color, and creating tables for data.

Topic 4 Advanced Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Forms, and DHTML

A series of tutorials teaching students how to use advanced cascading style sheets and forms effectively on Web sites. The seminars also introduce DHTML.

Topic 5 Adding Interactivity and Multimedia with HTML and XHTML

This course teaches students how to use imagemaps, sound, video, and JavaScript to add features to Web pages.
