This course teaches you how to set up and install a ColdFusion development environment, as well as connecting to a database, you will also learn how to build ColdFusion apps that integrate such features as FTP, e-mail, Java, Flash, and XML
Topic 1 Introduction and Installation
An introductory course teaching students how to install and set up ColdFusion MX, as well as examining MX's new features.
Topic 2 Talking With the Database
A general introductory course of tutorials introducing the use of ColdFusion tags such as CFQUERY to perform queries and CFOUTPUT to display the results on a Web page. The course also teaches the use of standard SQL to perform basic database operations.
Topic 3 Displaying Data
An introductory course providing an overview of the basics of form. The tutorials cover such subjects as submitting the form and validating and saving form data. It will also teach students how to build dynamic pages by using query results to create charts and graphs.
Topic 4 Programming and Application Framework
This course teaches students how to build useful ColdFusion applications - tutorials cover programming elements including variable scoping and flow-control statements.
Topic 5 Custom Tags and Building Blocks
This course teaches the building and use of ColdFusion custom tags. The series of tutorials introduces ColdFusion components, built-in functions, and user-defined functions.
Topic 6 Using E-mail, Complex Data Types, and FTP
This series of tutorials teaches further aspects of using ColdFusion, including integrating e-mail into applications, using complex data types such as lists, arrays and structures, and managing directories and files using FTP.
Topic 7 Securing, Debugging, and Improving Application Performance
A series of tutorials covering how to secure your ColdFusion environment, from isolating bugs to using built-in debugging tools, and how to improve the performance of your ColdFusion applications.
Topic 8 Using Flash, Java, and XML
This course teaches students how to use ColdFusion with Flash, Java, and XML to create robust applications.
Topic 9 Integration and Understanding Fusebox and FLiP
A series of tutorials covering ColdFusion applications. The seminars cover how to create the best designs using the Fusebox framework, how to streamline your design methods using FLiP, and how best to integrate them with other applications.
Topic10 Functions, Tags, and Resources
This course teaches students about the wide variety of ColdFusion tags, functions, and resources, including ten different categories of functions, a dozen new tags, and the many ColdFusion resource sites.
