This is a course of tutorials on the basics of handling a computer. The seminars cover subject such as how to start, shut down, and restart the computer; display system data, desktop information, and online help; work with icons and windows; organize files and folders; as well as edit and print data. This course describes how to meet International Computer Driving License 4.0 XP U.S. (ICDL) objectives on a personal computer that uses a Windows operating system. The ECDL/ICDL test can be taken with any system/application, and although this course demonstrates a specific system/application, the tasks it teaches can be applied to other systems/applications as well.

This is a course of tutorials on the basics of handling a computer. The seminars cover the use of word processing applications to create documents, as well as manipulate and format text. The course also teaches how to prepare a document for printing, preview and print a document, create tables, import objects, and merge a mailing list with a document. This course describes how to meet International Computer Driving License 4.0 XP U.S. (ICDL) objectives using Microsoft Word on a personal computer that uses a Windows operating system.
